ARCHAEOLOGICAL PATHS

1) THE STONES TELL US: myths, allegories, fables and history through Pagan and Christian symbols. The children are divided into small groups of two or three and given a questionnaire, they will have to find the symbols on the gravestones and answer a few simple questions. Subsequently, with the educational operator, they will analyse the symbols and their meanings. They are mostly topics related to early Christian symbolism and myths of the classical world.

2) LIFE IN ROMAN TIMES: the day, jobs, activities and entertainment of the Romans reconstructed through the analysis of tombstones. Can the simple "stones" inscribed tell us how the ancient Romans lived? Through careful observation of the gravestones and the projection in the classroom of some images, activities, work and leisure at that time, are reconstructed.

3) REFURBISHMENT OF THE OLD PALACE: architecture and decorations.

THEMED TOURS IN THE GALLERY:

1) READING IMAGES: Federico and his son Guidobaldo (the cult of personality, the patron prince, the renaissance home).

2) THE ART OF WOOD INLAY: performance techniques and the symbolism of the doors and the studio in the apartment of the Duke.

3) ARCHITECTURE AND GEOMETRY IN FEDERICO’S PALACE: spaces, measures and proportions in the “city in the shape of a palace”.

4) CLEARANCE PROSPECTIVE: the prospective in the Ducal Palace and works in The National Gallery of Marche (recommended for high schools).

The archaeological tours and themes are enriched with fun activities and workshops (puzzles, hands on activities, comics, animations and games in the gallery) to reprocess the knowledge gained.
